Q How does uShip work? What should I expect?

By choosing to list your shipment on uShip, it’s now visible to thousands of independent transport companies who place competing bids to win your business. These are professional providers, each with a public profile on uShip so you can see their service history. When you find one that meets your requirements, you accept their bid. Once you pay for your shipment on uShip, you’re then put in touch with your provider to work out the shipping details.

Q I listed my shipment, but don’t have any bids yet. Did I do something wrong?

If you received a confirmation email from uShip, then your shipment was successfully listed. How quickly bids are placed varies by shipment. To expedite the process, we encourage you to make bid requests to providers or let us make them for you.

Q What is the normal response time when I can expect to see bids?

Initial bids from providers can arrive anywhere from 10 minutes to two days or more after listing, depending on the item, schedule, and location. Keep an eye on your email for bid notifications, but also for questions from providers. They’ll often ask questions before bidding in order to place the most accurate quote.

Q Are these carriers vetted/insured?

Many providers carry insurance but this is a case by case basis. We encourage customers to review a provider’s profile, insurance information, and feedback before accepting their bid. uShip also offers cargo insurance at checkout that is backed by Lloyd’s of London. And every shipment also comes with a Ship with Confidence Guarantee.

Q Can I just get a ballpark price?

Transport prices are constantly changing so the most accurate market rates will come through providers’ bids, keeping in mind that competition brings prices down. uShip also has shipping estimates based on what others have paid for similar shipments, but this is only an estimate and can vary depending on your specific requirements.

It was a easy process

It was a easy process to list items needed to be shipped, and carriers would make a bid. You choose which carrier bid you accept. You can read the carrier’s reviews to determine if you want to do business with them. Initial few bids were way too high, but wait for a reasonable one. I like the fact that you release your payment to the carrier after the delivery is made satisfactorily.

Excellent service

Excellent service, recommend it to transfer vehicles. On time pick up and delivery. Customer service was nice. Driver was nice and reachable any time. They try to accommodate according to you need and schedule

I sued Uship to hir Auto Transport 123 as a broker agent to transport my car. I had an excellent experience with the process of coordinating the pickup of my vehicle. I requested the pickup to be October 31st, and I was advised that my vehicle could be picked up between the 31st and November 2nd. I planned for the 2nd. On the 31st, I received a call from the driver at 11:32 stating that he would be picking up my vehicle in an hour. Long story short, I had to change my rental reservation 2 days earlier than I intended. The vehicle was picked up and delivered on November 1st. The cost of the transportation was 675.00. 225.00 on my credit card and 450.00 cash or cashier’s Check. I left my wife 450.00 cash to give to the driver. I received and email from Auto Transport 123 but did not check it. On November 2nd, I noticed the charge on my credit card was 350.00 I called Auto Transport to find out why on that day but accounting was not open. I called back the next day again too late and left a message. I was preparing for deployment and it was hard to contact the company early during the day due to it being in NY. finally, was able to make contact and spoke with Janine and asked about the change. She explained that the email sent to me on the 31st was changed for the credit card to 325.00 and 350.00 to the driver. Due to my inability to check my email in a timely manner, I did not advise my wife to only give 350.00. Upon delivery, my wife asked the driver “it’s 450.00 right “? He said “sure” She then told me that he scratched out the $350 that was on the receipt originally then wrote COD. When my wife asked him if it cost $450, why didn’t he just say no it’s 350? I was out of 100.00 due to the corrupt driver taking advantage of my wife by not being honest with her. Janine and the auto transport family were extremely helpful with contacting the company the provided the driver. After, it was evident that the driver was truly a liar, Janine decided that the company would return the 100.00 back on my credit card. Now, she definitely didn’t have to do that because the responsibility was on the drive. I have to say that the family owned business is one of if not the best transportation service I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I am a Army Capitan 24 years in, and I have delt with many transportation businesses throughout my career. Thanks a lot Janine and your crew!!!

reliable vehicle transport company

If you happen to be needing a reliable vehicle transport company then you have found them. Moving anything is hard because you have to trust your valuables to other people, but please be reassured this company will do as they say and make sure to always keep the lines of communication open.
