Awful experience in every way.Ended up paying over twice what I was quoted. Agents were very hard to understand.Poor english.
Cost was more than I was initially quoted but service was great!
I was quoted $500.00 dollars to ship my motorcycle from Evansville In.to Tucson Az.I was put off until 2 days before bike was to be shipped and then was told that the price was going to be $1000.00.This was after I had already paid %175.00 down payment which I was told was stolen by a former employee who had been fired. So my charges went from $500.00 to $1175.00 with no options to get my overpayment back. Very unscrupulous company.
Just a terrible experience. Price started at $1050 then up to $1600. Put my credit card on file and told that’s how the final charge was going to be paid. Car delivered dirty and could see any damages. I was not on location and the experience just went from bad to worst.
Just a terrible experience. Price started at $600 then up to $800 and final was $1350. Put my credit card on file and told that’s how the final charge was going to be paid. Car delivered on a Friday evening and driver wanted to be paid in cash. I was not on location and the experience just went from bad to worst.
Tyler Herro was great , very communicative about updates and the process / steps taken price changed 2 times if not 3 times upwards , vehicle was delivered in good condition and in the timeframe estimated overall good experience even after a couple of hiccups
I talk to one of your representatives on June 2023, and got a quote for $1050.00 for transporting my car to North Carolina on July 28, 2023 . I started getting calls from a different representative in towards the middle of July and told me that the price had to be increase to $1600.00. This is unsatisfactory, and I will never use this company again.
Was quoted $1000 flat fee all in. The day before pick up, price was increased to $1400. This was after contract was signed and I was reassured the price was set. Was given a time for pick up between 3-5 pm. Driver was early and wouldn’t wait. I had to wait 7 hours for driver to return. Vehicle arrived at destination a day late.
I am extremely disappointed the way these people handled my situation. 1st of all I had to pay additional $200 from the original quoted price. Their driver picked the car and signed for car's papers. He dropped the car over a weekend, never contacted me and lost the car papers. Were never left in the car. I had to order a new title for additional $200. I called and asked them to find the driver and paper but no response. I guess they have a bad business model and they won't survive much longer with these poor business practices.
The quote was competitive. Had an agreement until 3 days prior to vehicle pickup. Andrew was very knowledgeable, but lacked the followthrough promised, the agreed upon price and the procedure quoted. I understand TrueCar is a broker, but when the hired carrier company does not follow through on the promises, the buck stops with TruCar. 3 days prior to scheduled pick up, I received a call from Andrew informing me that my vehicle could’t be transported by the normal 9 car trailer, but a 3 car trailer was available on the contracted pickup date for an additional $475. TrueCar should have done what was necessary, not squeezed me for additional money. I needed the vehicle, so I agreed. We had a signed contract for time, date and delivery that was changed and replaced with an additional contract and the updated and increased price. Promised 24 hour notice was none existent. I was promised superior communication with a 24 hours vehicle courtesy call, had less than an hour on vehicle pick up. Promised 24 hour courtesy call on delivery and got a call a few hours prior to delivery. Andrew promised stellar communication that was totally absent. Dispatcher took 3 hours of my time with scheduled arrivals that did not happen. I sat at our security gate for an hour and 15 minutes before calling to inquire what is my drivers new ETA. I was told 2 1/2 hours later in the afternoon. Where was my phone call, I called them. Again, I went to our security gate (1.1 miles from my home) and waited another two hours with another no show. I called Andrew immediately and he passed the buck saying he did not have control over a third party carrier. Did that ever help….not. I was extremely upset and said tell them I’ll see them tomorrow. An hour after arriving back home the actual driver called me., the only bright spot in the whole mismanaged contract. He said he had broken down 3 hours from me at 8 AM and worked on repairs all day. He said he could make delivery mid evening. I felt bad for him so I agreed. I had 100% more communication from the actual driver in 3 hours than Andrew and the carrier dispatcher combined. The carrier dispatcher was absolutely horrible. For the 3rd time I headed to the security gate. To my complete surprise, the driver was there when he said he would be and was very professional and courteous. I finally received my vehicle! Andrew the salesman for TrueCar was professional, just not ethical. I DO NOT recommend using TrueCar, nor will I ever use them again.
